Prairie View A&M University will prepare more highly qualified secondary STEM teachers to enter the workforce by establishing a UTeach secondary STEM teacher preparation program on its campus. With $800,000 from Greater Texas Foundation, the UTeach Institute at the University of Texas at Austin will assist Prairie View A&M University in implementing the UTeach model by establishing operational structures, hiring staff, establishing financial and academic student support structures, developing and implementing new degree plans, courses, and field teaching experiences, and recruiting and enrolling students.
