Grant Announcement: Work. Learn. Earn. NTCC’s Work Scholarship Program

Greater Texas Foundation will support the Northeast Texas Community College (NTCC) Work Scholarship Program (WSP) with a $250,000 grant. The WSP allows students the opportunity to earn their degree at NTCC by matching them with on-campus jobs beginning in tenth grade and contributing part of their earnings to a college savings account. Through the program, students learn essential skills that will serve them throughout their careers while significantly reducing their debt-to-degree. Funds from this grant will be used to enhance the WSP’s sustainability by endowing the program, as well as documenting standard operating procedures, evidence of success, and a “how-to” guide for other institutions interested in replicating the program.
