Annotated Bibliographies: Adult Students, Veterans, and Opportunity Youth

Greater Texas Foundation focuses particularly on underserved students in our work to ensure Texas students complete postsecondary education. The term “underserved” is broad, however; it includes many different groups of students who have not typically benefited from the state’s education system to the same extent as their peers. To better understand the challenges faced by underserved students, the foundation’s board and staff recently explored literature on three traditionally underserved student populations in higher education: adults, veterans, and opportunity youth. The following annotated bibliographies summarize recent literature on each group:

Adult Students
Student Veterans
Opportunity Youth
