Texas’s rural students come from diverse backgrounds and face unique barriers to postsecondary success. For example, rural students often face challenges in broadband access, geographic location (e.g. transportation issues), and teacher retention. With more than 900,000 rural students in Texas, improving the postsecondary outcomes for this population is central to GTF’s strategy.
