A Regional Approach to Early College and Degree Pathways

In this new White Paper, independent evaluators looked at the deeply embedded collaborative approach to educational attainment that helps students in the Rio Grande Valley region successfully transition from high school to college.

Lee College expanding an innovative pathway program for incarcerated students

With 1,200 students and 30 years of experience, Lee College Huntsville Center hosts the largest prison education program in the state, offering opportunity, job training, and hope to students in the justice system. “The ability to earn a living wage after being released from incarceration is often the key to avoiding recidivism for our formerly incarcerated students,” said Selah Tacconi, executive director, Lee College Foundation and chief advancement officer.

Greater Texas Foundation is proud to help expand the “Pathways from Prison to Postsecondary Education” project at the college’s Baytown campus with a grant of $750,000.
