Young Invincibles will engage in research aimed at advancing access to apprenticeship programs in Texas with a $200,000 grant from Greater Texas Foundation. This project will delve into the messaging, recruitment, and retention strategies employed by workforce development providers, high schools, and state agencies to encourage participation by historically underrepresented young people in apprenticeships. By testing and providing promising messaging frameworks, this research will ultimately pave the way for more inclusive and effective apprenticeship programs, benefiting both employers and young people while improving long-term labor market outcomes.
