Grant Announcement: Pathways from Prison to Postsecondary Education

Lee College will expand its capacity to serve incarcerated students with a $496,000 grant from Greater Texas Foundation to support the Pathways from Prison to Postsecondary Education project. This initiative provides a comprehensive education and reentry support system, starting in prison and continuing at Lee College’s Baytown campus, until students achieve their degrees or professional certifications. Through this project, Lee College will hire a Reentry Specialist to ensure that students receive the holistic, supportive services necessary for their successful transition and reintegration into the community, including access to mental and physical health services, childcare assistance, and other vital resources.
