A $45,900 grant from Greater Texas Foundation will fund the Rural Veteran Support Initiative, a joint effort from Combined Arms and Service to School, to increase rural veterans’ access to and success in postsecondary education through technology. The Rural Veteran Support Initiative seeks to develop a pipeline of rural veterans interested in pursuing continued education by linking veterans to higher education resources through a mobile application and an online platform. Rural veteran clients will experience easy, one-stop referral services for accessing resources to facilitate success in higher education.
