Grant Announcement: United for College Success, Phase IV

Led by KIPP Texas-Houston, United for College Success (UFCS) will expand its reach and continue building on the momentum of its previous work with a $461,032 grant from Greater Texas Foundation.

UFCS is a coalition of eight public charter districts and three independent school districts tracking more than 80,000 students across Texas. Through leveraging the resources and expertise of partners, utilizing collective data to inform decisions, and aligning advocacy for systemic changes for postsecondary success, UFCS aims to develop a robust to and through college support system. With GTF funds, the coalition will increase staff capacity, build new college partnerships and strengthen existing ones, provide deeper training in supporting college persistence, use data to advocate for innovative and collaborative efforts in PK-12 and higher education, and enlist a sustainability consultant to ensure this important work continues. Through this work, UFCS will increase the number of underserved students attaining a college degree or certificate that enables them to live choice-filled lives.
