BRYAN, TEXAS – Greater Texas Foundation was recognized as a Texas State University Hero for its contributions to the University totaling over $1 million. Since 2003, Greater Texas Foundation has awarded 22 grants to Texas State University (TXST) in support of the foundation’s mission to improve postsecondary opportunity and success for all students. Greater Texas Foundation’s most recent grant to TXST which pushed the foundation over the $1 million mark will support research to determine the effectiveness of learning frameworks courses at Texas public community colleges. 

“Our longstanding partnership with Texas State University has accelerated us toward our mission of postsecondary success for all Texas students,” said Mr. Ralph Rushing, Chair of Greater Texas Foundation’s Board of Directors. “We look forward to continued collaboration to serve Texas students for many years to come.” 

Greater Texas Foundation will be honored at a halftime ceremony at a Texas State University football game on Saturday, October 16, along with several other donors.
