In July 2020, Greater Texas Foundation convened a diverse group of higher education researchers and practitioners for the GTF Postsecondary Research Virtual Summit. The convening was designed to inform GTF’s research agenda, an extension of the foundation’s five-year strategic plan developed last summer. (For more information on the plan, visit our Strategy page.)

The half-day summit brought together nearly 40 researchers and practitioners in a program that included large group discussions and smaller breakout sessions focused on each goal area in GTF’s strategic plan: Student Supports; Transfer, Transition, and Advising; Rural Collaborations; and Math for Success. The group also discussed how GTF can support innovation and adapt quickly to the changing higher education landscape.

As an organization dedicated to research and learning, GTF used the insights shared during the summit to develop a set of questions to inform its grantmaking and other efforts over the next several years. We invite you to read our Research & Learning Agenda to learn more.
